Australia: ABS Labour Force Figures, released today, unemployment rate decreased to 3.4%. The participation rate remained at 66.6%. Monthly hours worked decreased to 1,864 million hours. ↓

China: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released November 15, the unemployment rate remained steady at 5.5%. ↔

USA: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released November 4, the unemployment rate increased 0.2 points to 3.7%. ↑

UK: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released November 15, the unemployment rate increased 0.1 point to 3.6%. ↑

New Zealand: Statistics New Zealand, released August 2, the unemployment rate increased 0.1 points in the second quarter to 3.3%. ↑

Germany: Destatis Germany, released September 30, unemployment rate remained steady at 5.5%. ↔

France: Insee France, released November 15, the unemployment rate decreased 0.1 points in the third quarter to 7.3%. ↓

Spain: Instituto Nacional de Estadistica, released October 27, unemployment rate increased to 0.19 points in the third quarter to 12.67%. ↑

Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence up 2.1 points to 80.8 – the weekly increase halts a run of six straight declines.

Job Advertisements Series, released October 4, Job Ads declined by 0.5 per cent m/m in September, following a small downward revision of the August result. But this is only 0.8 per cent below the recent peak in June. This suggests tightness in the labour market is not yet letting up, which is consistent with other indicators.
Job Vacancy Rates: ABS Labour Force Figures, released September 29, total job vacancies for the August 2022 quarter were 470,900, a decrease of 2.1% from May 2022. ↓
