Australia: ABS Labour Force Figures, released today, unemployment rate increased 0.2 points to 3.9%. ↑ The participation rate increased 0.2 points to 67.2%. ↑ Monthly hours worked increased to 1,944 million hours. ↑
China: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released November 15, the unemployment rate remained steady at 5.0%. ↔
USA: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released December 8, the unemployment rate decreased 0.2 points to 3.7% ↓
UK: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released December 12, the unemployment rate remained steady at 4.2%. ↔
New Zealand: Statistics New Zealand, released October 31, the unemployment rate increased 0.3 points in the third quarter to 3.9%. ↑
Germany: Statistics Germany, released November 30, the unemployment rate increased 0.1 points to 5.9%. ↑
France: Insee France, released November 15, the unemployment rate increased 0.2 points in the third quarter to 7.4%. ↑
Spain: Instituto Nacional de Estadistica, released October 26, unemployment rate increased 0.24 points in the third quarter to 11.84%. ↑
Monthly Consumer Price Index Indicator: released November 29, the annual movement for the monthly CPI indicator excluding volatile items and holiday travel rose 5.1% in October, down from the rise of 5.5% in September. ↓
Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence: released December 12, ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence jumps 4.4pts to 80.8 after the RBA leaves interest rates unchanged - the highest for over ten months since early February 2023. ↑

ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads released December 4, ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads fell 4.6% m/m in November following a downward revision in October to -3.4% m/m from -3.0% m/m. In trend terms, the series was down 3.4%m/m. ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads has fallen 16.8% from the November 2022 peak but is elevated compared to pre-pandemic levels. ↓
Job Vacancy Rates: ABS Labour Force Figures, released September 28, total job vacancies for the August 2023 quarter were 390,400, a decrease of 8.9% from May 2023. ↓
