Australia: ABS Labour Force Figures, released today, unemployment rate increased 0.2 points to 4.1%↑The participation rate remained steady at 66.8%.↔ Monthly hours worked decreased to 1,871 million hours.↓
China: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released January 17, the unemployment rate increased 0.1 points to 5.1%.↑
USA: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released February 2, the unemployment rate remained steady at 3.7% ↔
UK: Bureau of Labor Statistics, released February 13, the unemployment rate decreased 0.1 points to 3.8%.↓
New Zealand: Statistics New Zealand, released February 6, the unemployment rate increased 0.1 points in the fourth quarter to 4.0%.↑
Germany: Statistics Germany, released January 31,the unemployment rate remained steady at 5.8%↔
France: Insee France, released February 13, the unemployment rate remained steady in the fourth quarter at 7.5%↔
Spain: Instituto Nacional de Estadistica, released January 26, unemployment rate decreased 0.8 points in the fourth quarter to 11.76%. ↓
Monthly Consumer Price Index Indicator: released January 31, the annual movement for the monthly CPI indicator excluding volatile items and holiday travel rose 4.2% in December, down from the rise of 4.8% in November.↓
Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence: released February 13, ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence dropped 1.2 points to 82.6.↓ Consumer Confidence has now spent a record 54 straight weeks below the mark of 85.

ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads released February 5, ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads rose 1.7% m/m in January following an upward revision in December to +0.6% m/m from +0.1% m/m. In trend terms, the series fell 0.1%m/m. ANZ-Indeed Australian Job Ads has fallen 15.5% from the November 2022 peak but is still 39.9% higher than pre-pandemic levels.↑
Job Vacancy Rates: ABS Labour Force Figures, released January 10, total job vacancies for the November 2023 quarter were 388,800, a decrease of 0.7% from August 2023. ↓
DEEWR Report: Department of Employment Monthly Leading Indicator of Employment, we have presented the January numbers which are the latest we have. The DEEWR report was due to be published on February 14 but has yet to be published.
